Miguel Oliveira

Miguel Oliveira is a specialist in quality management from the Universidade de Aveiro (2018), , Master in the same area from the Universidade Aberta (2006) and a graduate in Regional Municipal Administration (Universidade Independente). He is currently attending a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences, management branch, at the Universidade de Aveiro.

He is a guest assistant professor at Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Águeda (ESTGA) in Aveiro where he has been teaching since 2012. Over the last 15 years he has taught in different universities and polytechnic schools different curricular units in master, postgraduate and undergraduate courses, namely quality theory, strategic quality management, quality management system, standards and management systems, excellence models, project management, business management and organization, leadership and motivation of teams, internships, projects, among others.

His experience in academic management includes the coordination of the Centro de Estudos Superiores Autárquicos (ISEC), coordination of a master's degree in Municipal Management (1 edition, ISEC), coordination of a postgraduate degree in Advanced Municipal Management (16 editions, UnI and ISEC), coordination of a postgraduate degree in Quality Management of Municipal Services (6 editions, UnI and ISEC), coordination of a degree in Management (ISPGaya) and member of the course committee for a degree in Quality Management (8 editions, ESTGA).

He is a trainer at the Fundação para os Estudos e Formação das Autarquias Locais in courses for senior and middle management of Local Government in the areas of quality and innovation, accumulating with the scientific coordination of the Capacity Building Programme for Municipal Innovation. He is also a trainer at the National Institute of Administration, IP in courses for senior and middle management of direct and indirect administration, in the areas of strategic planning and innovation.
