Welcome to the CESOP-Local ISM Portal
The digital platform that allows the Municipality to consult all its data from the Municipal Sustainability Index online.
Preliminary note: For municipalities with authorized access to the ISM Portal, the access to the digital platform is made through the button "Results" at the top of the page, after having logged into the personal account.
The fourth edition of the Municipal Sustainability Index is already available and gathers a total of 130 indicators (of which 115 are non-duplicated) related to 66 goals, that best translate the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Agenda 2030, at municipal level.
This monitoring tool was developed by the CESOP-Local research team in collaboration with the Mayors and technical staff of the Municipalities belonging to the CESOP-Local/Sustainable Territories Network, as part of the "Sustainable Territories" Project, which aims to mediate, share and transfer good practices and knowledge among Local Authorities, providing relevant information to support municipal decision-making towards sustainable development.
Since 2018, this Index allows each Municipality to obtain an annual report containing the diagnosis of its territory implemented in each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals through the targets and indicators analysed and developed. As of 2020, it's also available online, on this platform, in the name of a more intuitive reading of the ISM and a more dynamic use, namely, with municipal departments.
The ISM Portal intends to promote greater proximity, knowledge, flexibility and involvement of stakeholders with the Municipality of the CESOP-Local/Sustainable Territories network, facilitating the consultation of the ISM data through the five pages available in the digital plateform: "Global Results", "Results by Dimensions", "Global Portrait", "Results by SDGs" and "Meta-information".
From now on, all ISM Editions will be available on the platform.
The version of the ISM Portal you are about to consult is of an exemplary nature. The data and scores shown in the platform are not real and do not reflect the results of any Municipality in the country. Only the Municipalities of the CESOP-Local/Sustainable Territories Network may authorise the public disclosure of the ISM results of their Municipality. The ISM does not establish rankings and cannot be used for that purpose.
The Portuguese Municipalities that do not belong to the CESOP-Local/Sustainable Territories Network, have now the opportunity, free of charge, to access the results of the first three editions of the Municipal Sustainability Index of their territory. In order to do this, you simply need to show your interest by getting in touch with us through the email email@example.com.
